It finds you when you’re not looking.

Anonas Thrift Shops

In the Philippines, thrift shops are also called, “ukay-ukay.” It’s where you can find items at its cheapest because they’re usually over runs, donations (at some point maybe) or used by people who are long gone (this doesn’t make thrift shops here look good), but any which way, it’s also a source of the most interesting finds especially for fashion!

I admire the great fashion gurus who take their time to check out thrift shops to buy items that makes all the difference in their outfit. It just proves that you don’t have to spend a lot to look good. I must say it takes a lot of perseverance to find good items, but when you’ve given enough, the great items will eventually find you. And that’s what happened today.

I was about to give up when two neon tops came screaming at me from the dress section. And that’s where my thrift shopping ended today. Tired, sweaty, dirty but happy!

When you go to thrift shops, don’t give up! It might help to bring a patient friend along.Β Thank you, Sheh!
